January10, IFIF public relation- – Deputy Minister of Agricultural Jihad and Head of the Fisheries Organization Hassan Salehi and Omani counterpart Hamed bin Said al-Oufi explored the grounds to foster bilateral ties in fisheries.

Pointing out to the promotion of fishery processing and production, Salehi expressed Iran`s readiness to cooperate with Oman private sector in the field of fisheries.

In a report provided by him the volume of fishing in the northern and southern waters of Iran as well as in the Oman Sea and the Indian Ocean, and also fish, shrimp and sturgeon farming, especially by method of marine caged culture were mentioned.

The Iranian delegation, then, visited a number of fishing ports of Oman.
